In this publication, students will develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes that you require to make a proactive and positive contribution to workplace innovation. Innovation is a term used to describe new ideas that are implemented in an organisation with the objective of increasing profits for the organisation and increasing value for customers. Innovation can take any forms including new or enhanced goods or services, operational processes or work practices. The knowledge, skills and attitudes that you develop in this unit will be valuable to the student in a broad range of jobs. The knowledge and skills that the student can transfer to other roles are termed employability skills.

This learner guide can be used for both classroom based and distance delivery. The content includes underpinning text and a number of relevant activities that will assist the student in becoming competent in the subject matter.
